Needle free anesthesia

For patients who required local anesthetic for deep cleanings Dr Handschuh was one of the first practitioners in Westchester to offer the use of a needle free syringable local anesthetic (called ORAQIX). This provides patients with profound anesthesia so deep scaling, gum treatment may be provided while removing the pain from conventional needle used anesthesia. Anesthesia lasts only 15 to 20 minutes enabling patients to resume normal activities faster than with conventional anesthesia and no residual numb feeling for hours
