For A Healthier Smile, Stop Doing This

For a lifetime of good dental health, the team at The Dental Design Center in White Plains recommends you not do any of the following:

Drinking soda and energy drinks.
These sugary, acidic beverages are exceptionally efficient at damaging enamel.

Chewing ice or hard candy.
Your enamel is quite hard. But so are ice and hard candy, and head-to-head, occasionally they win, resulting in a broken tooth.

Skipping flossing.
Maybe you think brushing is sufficient. Following brushing with an attentive flossing job eliminates particles of food and plaque between teeth.

Using a firm bristled toothbrush.
A soft bristled brush is the most appropriate tool for the job. Save your firm brush for cleaning the grout around your bathtub.

Delaying dental checkups.
Don’t wait until something hurts. See us at the Dental Design Center in White Plains every six months for a professional cleaning and checkup. We provide general and cosmetic dentistry. Schedule an appointment with us today.
